My Verse:

I love a chick, but she don’t love me back
And rejection hit me like a heart attack
So, I write poetry like Medieval Chaucer
To the point where I feel like a big imposter
Did I do something wrong? I thought I was perfect
I’m not a robot that belongs in a circus
The feelings were real, but she had to appeal
Didn’t even say why, even after the meal
She must want a thug instead of a nice guy
I am who I am, til her 30’s just roll by
And then she realizes that she made a mistake
And wants to reconsider, but it’s just too late
I found someone better, making real cheddar
And put my past feelings in invisible shredders
I truly found a wonderful piece of art
But other one wasn’t so smart; she didn’t…
(Listen to your heart)

Still feels sluggish and robotic, but cool yo.

I'd have to hear it to the beat, but it does read pretty sluggish.

I just recorded it today. It's in the soundclick link below my Boondocks signature.

True has a horrible voice, I have no idea what he was even saying.

You talk too much out of your nose, but I think the end of your verse sounds pretty good.

Thanks for the honesty, Caciss.

People on Soundclick tell him this all the time, but he generally ignores it. As for my part, I think I may rerecord it a bit later, but I'm not sure if I can make it less nasally.

yeah I notice the quality is a bit bleh, is that because soundclick reduce the quality?

Yes. When you have a free account, the track plays at 128, but it plays at an even higher quality if I get the VIP account, but I'm cheap. :P

Did you play the song in hi-fi, JPS?

Yeah, it played a little better but the bass wasnt very good in one of the songs because of the quality reduction

I just got through listening to everything on your music page. Excellent, man. The only thing that bothered me was certain parts seemed a bit blown out, or clipped. Do you use a WAV editor? If so you might want to remaster some tracks so that they don't go through the roof (and floor), but stay within the threshold.

That's just a minor technical thing. Keep writing, and keep recording!

[EDIT] - Ok, I just realized that there was way more on that page but I listened to a lot.

Sadly, I don't have a wav editor. The best thing I can do, imo, is to cough up some cash for a better microphone and sound card.

I have to ask, is that an actual voice at the beginning or is the pitch just turned up real high?

The pitch is turned up real high. It's very similar to what Kanye West does.

I've been forced to listen to that song that was sampled a few times. I think it's in DDR. If Kanye jumped off a bridge, would you?

Those things would undoubtedly help, but in the mean time try this (http://www.mp3-converter.com/cool_edit_2000.htm) out. It's the free trial version of the WAV editor that I use called CoolEdit. This is the older, single wav edition, but it has MP3 support which the later versions (CoolEdit Pro) don't have.

It's not working, Obright. It redirected me to Adobe Audition, and when I clicked download, nothing happened. :(

It's called being influenced by another artist.

If Merzbow jumped off of a bridge, bare minimum I would at least hop in the air a bit.
