I didn't have to work today, and I had a sweet tooth, so I went shopping today. My first stop was the ABC store (this being my first visit), and lo and behold, they had egg nog. Of course, this wasn't the egg nog you can get at any store; this was the nog that my late grandmother claimed was the real thing, so I bought myself a bottle ($9!).
Next, I went to Food Lion to get the ice cream. Edy's had an MVP deal where it was 2-for-1 (I ended up getting Cookies and Cream...and I also got Double Vanilla). Edy's Ice cream is pretty pricey ($5.19 each, but I saved some money).
Now, it is time for the experiment:
I scooped some Vanilla Ice cream into a Styrofoam bowl, added a decent amount of "real egg nog," mixed it together (no blender, sorry), and consequently, it turned out to be a pretty nice treat. The nog was pretty strong, though.
EDIT: Happy Birthday, Ice Cream Man.
