Any clue how the T-Mobile Hotspot works for PSP?

It says it allows you to actually go online with certain games, but doesn't get too detailed. Monster Hunter Freedom 2 says it's compatible, but to my understanding it's only Ad Hoc.

I think you can use PSP's online at places where people normally use cell phones carrying the T-Mobile label. Myabe you could take it to a T-Mobile cell phone outlet and use the PSP there or something

I think they're just regular hotspots but they have a deal with T-Mobile for PSPs to use them for free for 6 months. The MHF2 compatibility is probably referring to the downloadable quests.
