How Does It Feel To Die?

Drowning - When victims eventually submerge, they hold their breath for as long as possible, typically 30 to 90 seconds. After that, they inhale some water, splutter, cough and inhale more. Water in the lungs blocks gas exchange in delicate tissues, while inhaling water also triggers the airway to seal shut - a reflex called a laryngospasm. "There is a feeling of tearing and a burning sensation in the chest as water goes down into the airway. Then that sort of slips into a feeling of calmness and tranquility," says Tipton, describing reports from survivors.

That calmness represents the beginnings of the loss of consciousness from oxygen deprivation, which eventually results in the heart stopping and brain death.
I wish they'd covered a gunshot to the head. If the bullet demolished your brain, that'd be a nice way to go. I'd hate to be one those guys that shoots themselves in the head and lives. Those guys are squares, amiright?

I don't ever want to know how it feels to die. I prefer dying in my sleep.

I always dread a slow painful tortured death, where my skin is slowly peeled off, or limbs are removed piece by piece. Argh. Yeah that would suck something fierce..

I always thought sliding down a water slide covered in razor blades, and then landing in a pool of salt and lemon juice would be the ultimate painful death.

Yup, instant death is much better.

But which way would be truly 'instant'? Even decapitation can leave you conscious for a few ticks. I'd think that being crushed to death by a large object might be the quickest.

Or perhaps jumping into a wood chipper?

I think the best, easiest and most painless way to go would be to overdose on sleeping pills.

Every time I died it really sucked!

                      I don't reccommend it.

                      MOO!

                        Complete atomization?

When I was 14 or 15, I was drying the dishes for my mom. I was drying a butter knife when I decided to stick it into the plug by the counter. The ONLY reason I did it was to see what it felt like. It was realitivly unpleasent and I won't do it again.

Maybe I'm weird but I never thought I needed to stick something into a socket to know that it's not a good idea.

I died in my dream once. I didn't feel a thing! Yeah dying is probably gunna suck but hey think of it this way, In a gazillion years from now when time repeats itself maybe it won't be so bad?
