It's a series actually. i've seen something on Gamefaqs about it some i know are on the PS1 and PS2.
There is one thing that pretty much disturbes me in an SRPG....

          Maronakins.

              Here's the game's website:

              http://www.playstation.jp/scej/title/popolop/index.html

PoPoLoCrois is a Japanese RPG series by Tamori Yousuke. It's known for it's interesting graphical style and whimsical world. The first two titles were released for the original PS and the third for PS2. The series was a hit in Japan, but was never released in the US. It also had an anime series.

The first game was an impressive hit, however the second game, which was in development for seven years and released in 2000, was the shining point in this series' history. The game was a masterpiece and an incredible hit. It was also completely voice-acted. It's still held in high regard.

The third game, which takes place about 15 years after the second and stars the original main characters' son, was to the PoPoLoCrois series as The Phantom Menace is to the original Star Wars, unfortunately. Although it's had a few positive points (the soundtrack, the interesting battle system, etc.), the game was extremely short and the story was contrived.

In spite of everything, the series as a whole is beloved and didn't deserve it's not being released outside of Japan.

I'm happy to see that Agetec has been kind enough to release this series in the US. I'm really looking forward to this.
