    About Max Drives

I have a question that's been nagging me for a while: do you need a Max Drive to put a game on the Pavilion?

Yep. Well, you can use the disk with any USB drive. But unless you have a PS3 (maybe, I'm not sure how it works), you'll need the max drive disk to download or upload games.

or x-port/shark port. we do have that converter thingy.

but x-port and shark port both suck. you have to physically connect your PS2 to your PC with those.

Wait, does the Max Drive work with PS1, RPGM1? My Dex no longer works, do they even sell those any more?

No, the Max Drive doesn't work with PS1 unfortunately. But if you send the physical memory cards to the mag, they have a service where they upload the game for you and send you back your memory cards.
