    Why do so many TV shows and movies...

    ...use this song in their previews/trailers? I mean, it's seven years after the song came out, and I swear, I hear clips of this song at least 3-4 times a year on movie and TV commercials. It kinda waters down the effect of the piece.

    Also, I still get chills every time I listen to this song. And the version I linked to actually kinda reminds me of Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

    Its just like Requiem Aeternam. An awsome song that gets used alot, and becomes less awsome.

      Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend somewhere along in the bitterness, and I would have stayed up with you all night had I known how to save a life.

          I first heard that in Requiem for a Dream, became obsessed with it, and then became enamored with it further when I heard the epic version from the Two Towers trailer. Too bad they didn't put it in the ****ing movie.

          Then it started showing up everywhere. I still like it, but it doesn't effect me when it shows up in media anymore. I just go "Oh look, there it is again."

                    I get it now. So many topics these days go right off the tracks, so you posted two things that I don't see as being related to the first post, and I guess just expected me to realize what their significance is, and how it relates to the topic at hand.



                    I'll stop being so dense, and take a stab in the dark and say that these two songs must also be used in the same way as the one I initially mentioned.

                      Dude, How to Save a Life was practically the theme of ABC last season. And if you click the white square on Dooku.net it changes the song played and the second one should be the song you made this topic about.
