Can somebody please submit an image of a max drive on this thread? I asked if they had any max drives at Best Buy, but the guy pointed me to USB drives. Which I am unsure if they are the same things. I checked on Google, but nothing comes up that looks like it would be a max drive. I really want to play games off the mag and the pav so please submit an image of a max drive.

Re: A max drive?

This is the one that comes with the Max drive.
$30 on Amazon.

This is the one I bought.
$20 on Amazon.
Both of them work with transferring games. You are paying the extra ten bucks for a 16 MB flash drive. You can find at least a 256 MB, if not a 512 MB flash drive for that extra ten bucks. Then you can use it for other things besides RPGM games.
I've seen 2 GB flash drives go for as cheap as $20 on sale and with mail in rebate at my work, as well.
Just take the $10-$20 extra bucks, and invest in a bigger flash drive is my advice to you.

But... you NEED to buy an Actual Max Drive for the software!Originally posted by Perversion View PostBoth of them work with transferring games. The PS2 can't understand the game data without that disc!Last edited by Rodak; 10-09-2007, 04:35 PM.

Re: A max drive?
God dammit! (Sorry for my bad language
) That second one you had a picture of is exactly what this guy at Eb Games offered me for $9.99 when I asked if he had max drives. Grr... How much RPG Maker 3 games does that second one hold (in the drive) that comes without the max drive... and your sure that works, right? And it'll work if my computer is upstairs and my ps2 is downstairs?

Re: A max drive?
Well, the second one does not come with a drive, so the amount of games it holds is dependant on what size flash drive you buy. However, to think logically about this, the first one has a 16 MB flash drive. On an 8 MB memory card, you can fit 3 RPGM2-3 games, but using the Action Replay software, it "crushes" the files to fit more on the flash drive. To be honest, the 16 MB one is probably plenty big, as long as you have the games you want backed up on the PC, and only use it to transfer a few games at a time. So it's really up to you. But if you can get the Action Replay without the drive for $10, you're better off doing that, and spending another $10-20 bucks on a bigger flash drive, as I mentioned in my first post.Originally posted by Evil Chipmunk View PostHow much RPG Maker 3 games does that second one hold (in the drive) that comes without the max drive...
