It's not, people are just talking about 1 more than 2 right now.

I've sold my copy of RPGM2, I plan to get another one when I have me some of my own money to spend, right now the game I am playing is "How to survive when you are 18 years old and in between jobs" so...yeah.

[I'll private message about stuff like this from now on so only the one person sees it. Sorry, Valkysas.]........................................

That game is easy:
just don't be 18 and in between jobs, silly.

Yeah, the key is to do less jobs, while keeping your stamina up by doing girls. You should also have your robbery skill on level 9, it makes gaining money easier.:p

Anyway, people are just talking about RPG Maker more, you know fond memories of using the game and all that. And I agree, #2 is much more interesting.:)

you know william, i dont mind doan's forum being talked about, because I really like doan. but seriously now. how the hell are we going to re-establish the pavilion if you essentially tell people not to bother posting here?

anyways, in all honesty, doan's forum has 34 people. this place has 109 so far, with more coming every day. granted, some just hang out in general discussion forums, but most are here for RPG Maker. hell, BZ has started a RPGM1 revolution here thats renewing interest in that. that shows a lot of creativity and interest on the fan's part.

This topic is really old, and I'm sorry to bump it, but I felt a bit of an apology/explanation was due. I'm sorry if I'm drawing RPGM2 traffic away from your board, I really am. I also regret not being able to be around here more. I just saw a bit of a niche that wasn't being filled anywhere else that I thought I could fit into, so I created a board meant to focus almost exclusively on RPGM2. From what I saw, much of the Pavilion members (and some other places) were unsatisfied with RPGM2 and decided to stay away from it or come up with other "more interesting" uses for the game. The Pavilion's Contest #1 is evidence of that. I wanted a message board that realized RPGM2's shortcomings, but also had hope to get around them and to focus on what could be done. We've had many worthwhile discussions about both the system and game ideas, and I'm hoping that by year's end, our community will have some good games to show from it.

Now, one realization that I'm prepared to face is that when (and if) RPGM3 comes out, our board will be in much the same predicament that the Pavilion is. I'm sure that many of my members will prefer RPGM2, I will have a very small RPGM3 following, and someone will go and create a brand new RPGM3 board. That's fine with me. In my eyes, that is basically what has happened here at the Pavilion. Now, if you have any ideas of some kind of partnership we could come up with or some way that we could jointly integrate our boards, I'd be happy to hear them. I'm not trying to take away from the Pavilion, I'm just trying to encourage use of RPGM2 in the best way I know how. Seeing it being put down every fifth post is not the encouragement that I have in mind.

hey, no, don't worry about it.

my only objection is when people flat out tell someone not to post here, and to go somewhere else instead.

I have NO problem with you, your site, or you promoting it here. okay? feel free to make a topic announcing updates and whatever at your site. my only problem was that william flat out told the person who started the topic that they should leave here and post at your site instead. I'm sure you'd take issue with anyone doing the same at your forum.

I certainly do not promote that kind of activity, and I'm sorry that happened. I can understand you having a problem with that. I'm glad to hear that you are supportive of my site, and I hope to see continued cooperation and friendliness between our two boards.
