    Game glitches

Is there a thread listing any common or uncommon glitches in the rpg maker 3 software?
My disk has no scratches on it and no dirt, fingerprints or anything, but all my sample data has been corrupted somehow. (elevations and terrain are all mixed up and don't make any sense anymore).

I cleaned my laser recently because of this.
I am using a ps2 8mb mem card, and it says "MagicGate" on it
I use a ps2 slim and its a little over a year old

I also tried using a new save file and when I load the data its corrupt

Ive had bad experiences with Magic Gate cards, I dont believe they are licensed by Sony, Valk may be able to verify this, but I know Magic Gate MC's suck, at least for me

But how can a bad MC corrupt sample data stored on the disc?

are there any scratches on the back of the disc? The disc is black and if theres a scratch in the foil on the topside you wont see it on the black side, hold it to the light with the black side towards you and see if you see any light going through it

Also I don't remember, but do the rock and lava terrain have the same random encounter battle background? I thought they were different, but I haven't test played any of my battles until recently.
They both have a lava background in my game for some reason...

No, no scratches on either side of the disc.... maybe it was exposed to something?? Like, something magnetic perhaps?

sony's official cards say magic gate on them.

didnt see that it was the sample data corrupted. no idea how that would happen. magnets don't do anything to optical storage, there's nothing magnetic in them.

                  Re: Game glitches

I'm pretty sure rock and lava are the same so that's fine, but I don't know what to tell you about that other stuff. That sucks. I hope it's not completly broken.

                    Re: Game glitches

                    Thanks everyone

My game file seems to be fine(I test play often, and everything looks the same).
It's just the sample data. I use the sample fields to tool around with sometimes to get ideas, but about a week ago they got messed up and, like I said, when I load from the disc (not my mem card)them their appearances are drastically changed. eg.(the large volcano hill is pretty much flat and is grassy).

Anyway thanks again... I hope my disc isn't screwed up, it was really difficult for me to get.. and expensive too

oh, hmm, I know one type of mem card I had was really bad, thought it was MG but after looking at mine both are MG licensed by Sony and Ive had those for years...

                        Re: Game glitches

Out of personal experience (this has happened twice >_>), I find that when data gets corrupt, it's because of some other corrupt data. Try checking your memory card to see if there's any corrupt data on it.

                        Who knows? Just my opinion.
