As to not clutter up the Youtube Goldmine thread, and to have a seperate thread for music-related endeavours, how about posting some music videos that interest you?

I'm not sure if this thread's been done before, but if it has, and no one wants to post, so be it. It'll die. I won't whine about it. Anyway, I've got quite a few cooked up and ready to go.

This video, for Cibo Matto's Sugar Water, dumbfounds me every time I see it. I mean, it's all one (two) take(s), and the video synchs up so both times they mention a black cat crossing my path, the cat is on the screen both times. You'll probably need to watch this more than once to truly realize how awesome it is. Plus, Cibo Matto is Japanese, so there's that.

Also, that Smashing Pumpkins video owes a heavy debt of gratitude to Mieles' Trip to the Moon. And I used to LOVE Smashing Pumpkins...honestly, though, after a while, I just kind of found Billy Corgan's voice whiny and annoying....

good god that video is brutal. i like the cover the presidents did better.

Well, to get down to brass tacks, it WAS the first video aired on MTV, thus technically making it the "first" music video. However, short films based on a single song existed WAY before The Buggles.
