Where shall I begin...
I woke up this morning at my normal 2am for work. I took my shower, ate breakfast and packed my lunch. Then I headed out the door around 3am.
It was a nice morning, very dark with a slight overcast, slightly chilly and super foggy! As I'm driving down the expressway, I hear this noise. It's sputtering louder and louder. "I think that's coming from the engine," I said to myself.
Next thing I knew, there were sparks coming from under the hood and it started to smell like oil all over. So I pull over to the side of the expressway six miles away from home in the middle of nothing. And the genius that I am, I left the cell phone at home plugged into the charger.
So, I decided I had no option but to walk the six miles back home in the foggy dark. I grabbed my Nintendo DS and a snack from lunch and off I went.
After I was walking for a little bit, I realized that the DS Lite has a really bright screen. So then I got a crazy idea to start waving it around as the cars passed by. I only had to walk two miles before someone picked me up.
So maybe I wouldn't have actually died if I didn't have my DS with me, but it sure did help in a time of distress.
