Since there are a few "best and worst" threads around, I thought I'd post this one. So, what's your favorite video game song/music/track? Mine are:

Unlicensed (though some songs come from licensed games, that technically makes them unlicensed tracks):
-Pretty much all the songs from Goldeneye 007
-Pretty much all the songs from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4
-Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Shredder, War, Chrome Dome, Armaggon, Rat King, and Karai's stage themes from the SNES version of Tournament Fighters
-The first level and first boss themes from Contra 3
-The first level and first boss themes from Super C
-The jungle, boss, and Super Computer songs from Metal Gear
-Psycho Mantis, Metal Gear Fight 2, and boss themes from Metal Gear Solid
-Yell Dead Cell and the Big Shell alert themes from MGS2
-The original/revamped "Game Over" song from Metal Gear and Solid
-The entire soundtrack from Sonic and Knuckles
-City Escape, Shadow/Sonic platform boss, and the Biolizard themes from Sonic Adventure 2

Pretty much every thing Nixon said. Also, Valkyrie Profile, Wild ARMs, Zone of the Enders, and Xenogears. And Guilty Gear.

I like a lot of arranged videogame soundtracks too, like The Brink of Time, Xenogears Creid, FFVIII Symphonic, the Onimusha 2 Orchestra Album, Rhapsody on a Theme of Saga Frontier II, and Biohazard Symphonic Suite.

Also, this is as good a time as any to say that, while transferring all of my music from one computer to another, only one song, Wishing For Eternal Sky from Skygunner, mutated durung the process. It's become twice as long and now sounds like it's being sung by a deep voiced man instead of a high-voiced Japanese woman. And the weird thing is, it actually sounds pretty cool. IM if anyone wants to give it a listen!

The Wild ARMs theme song...(whistles along)
The FFVII World Map theme (bring tears to eyes at that part where it really kicks in)
The FFVI ending medley (No comment needed.)
Earthbound's Final Boss music (Love how it starts all NES-like and goes into rock)
All Chrono Trigger songs
Chrono Cross's Another World theme
Silent Hill 2's "In Water" ending credit song (awesome rock instrumental)

Never really payed all that much attention to music in videogames. The most memorable music I can think of though, is from LttP.

I like Final Fantasy Tactics the best, then the soundtracks from Castlevania: SotN, Parasite Eve, Brave Fencer Musashi, Chrono Cross, FF6, and FF8.

I'm playing through FF3/6 right now, so all I can think of is Celes' Theme. It gets me all teary-eyed.

Most of the battle music in Earthbound is pretty swinging.

And yeah, I forgot to mention Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story.

And, only because I just thought of it now, the title music from Fear Effect. Here's a remix by Rosencrantz & guildensterN!
