Starting tomorrow all Wiis, Wii Remotes, and Wii Play packs shipped to retailers will include the Wii Remote Jacket which "provides cushioning for people who might accidentally throw or drop their Wii remotes while playing games" also known as total spazs. And if you've already got your Wii and motes you can get the jackets for free at Wii.com, Nintendo.com, or by calling 1-866-431-8367. They're taking orders as of tomorrow and will start shipping them on the 15th.

I don't know how necessary it is but free is free right?

Does it come complete with a padding set for your walls and friends, in case, you, know it still comes out of your hand with the jacket. Seriously, it's pretty hard to have the thing fly out of your hand, unless you have unfortunately over-sweaty palms, or are a complete idiot with no restraint.

Also unrelated, but apparently after getting skype, phone numbers now have this weird button I can click on to call them in posts.

There's really no need for a product like this because every Wii game reminds you to tighten your wrist strap before you play.

I'm guessing they're trying to make some money off of people who don't listen to the Wrist Strap rule.
