Has anyone else picked this up yet?
It is very cool, it is alot like a combination of a SRPG and Ogre Battle. You control a Hero and his/her friend. The Hero becomes posessed by an evil warlord named Gig, and you are on a mission to destroy these giant creatures called World Eaters.
The squad formation system is one of my favorite and least favorite things about the game. At first, you have NO real idea how to do things, and the manual doesnt help much (why do they even make manuals anymore?).
Basically you start with a grid, called a "room" that has about 4 openings for characters on it, and you can eventually increase it to 9 openings, and you can put any combination of characters you want, eventually you get more rooms, so you can have multiple squads (i'm up to 4 right now), and you can go into those to level up the room, kinda like Disgaea.
The storyline is okay so far, and it looks like there is going to be alot of political intrigue involved in this game, but there are some moments that will make you crack up.
The gameplay and squad system in this game is very deep and fans of the NIS strategy games should check it out, atleast for a rental.
