I could be wrong and probably am, but I though there was an RPG 4 relesed only in Japan.

Doesn't do us much good, but there could be one.

Heck 3 was just a spin-off of the other RPG makers.

our RPG Maker 1 is japan's RPG Maker 3. we never got 4 (on the PS1). our RPG Maker 2 is japan's RPG Maker 5, as well.

An RPG Maker 4 could appear on any system as far I know.

Dreamcast had an RPG Maker-type game, too. I once heard it was being localized, but it didn't happen. Probably just heresay.

interesting, i was thinking about segas decline. why the hell did they bail from the dreamcast? besides all the debt and ps2 hype. seams they had a very hard chance from the start.

Dream Studio sucked. it took a small pile of VMUs just to make something worth playing.

Part of Sega's problem was that they cranked out way too many consoles and add-ons and stufff after the success of Genesis. I think what happened is like the American consoles in the early 80's they blew way too much money without making a profit.

And they never managed to get any sort of lead over Nintendo and then Sony maybe. I dunno, I was never really into Sega's stuff, though they occasionally had good games.
