There were so many kick@ss games for it. And so many crappy ones that I played anyway, but I digress. Let's discuss the ones that mattered.

Re: I miss RM 1.
I actually played a few games for RM1, but never made any. I liked Remote Control (of course), and I played a game with a robot in it. Mostly I just helped Gwommy make his box moving game, which a few people seemed to like, but he never finished, because he'll get excited about something and drop it the next day.Lil' Bean is here!

Re: I miss RM 1.
ER! was kinda fun. It was like one of the first RM games, if I remember correctly. I played it back when all the games had their own logos/pages. I remember playing it around the same time I played Expedition, Lunar Pandemonium, Witch Be Bad, and all the other first-generation RM games. Lunar Pandemonium, Loki's game, was pretty awesome. You could choose to have one of like eight different characters, and the whole course of the game was supposed to be altered depending on who you chose. I don't think it ever made it past the demo stage, though.

The Spiteful Dead is in my opinion, the greatest RPGM full game to ever be released. It had its problems, but all in all I actually enjoyed spending 15+ hours on it. Re: I miss RM 1.
Bah. I always saw RM as overated.
However, its fun factor *was* through the roof. I did enjoy it a lot. Given no one else had done such a thing before, Alzar set a gold standard by which RPGM games were set.
Dew Quest was a really great game. Dungeons kind of needed some work though.
I was looking forward to Radiant Darkness quite a bit. If you release it, I'll need to find an emulator that doesn't freeze during battles. That's what kept me from getting some battle shot's of PS's jaw-dropping monster graphics I drew. [RD] was the most raw fun I ever had with any RPGM game, and I'm fairly sure would a full version of it come out, it would rape The Spiteful Dead in its overall quality. Both games had work poured into them, to actually make them fun. They weren't haphazardly thrown together like the RPGM fare people are used to.
Can't wait to see what some people here do in the future. A lot of creative people here. The unnecessary felling of a tree, perhaps the growth of centuries, seems to me a crime little short of murder." ~ Thomas Jefferson

Who are yous guys!?!? Toecutter?? Monkey!??! OMG THIS BOARD SUCKS
I miss RPG Maker 1 too. Mostly I miss getting games and trying them out. And making games. Because, I didn't do that with RPG Maker 2. I just played RPG Maker 2 for a little bit and went "This doesn't seem worth it and I don't have time anymore and I can't get anyone else's game anyway cos I don't have a sharkport or whatever." And it was sad.
One of the first games I played was Mr. Vile's Quest, and I really liked it because it made me laugh and had a fun/stupid story. Games rarely make me laugh, except for those old Sam and Max games, and I missed that feeling. And I rarely laugh during RPGs.
The best thing about RPG Maker 2 was when I was trying out the different songs and thought, wow these songs don't suck poopy like RPG Maker 1 songs, this has potential. Then I played and my retarded lego-man looking character walked around and blurred everything and I went
Then I did scripting and assigned the script to the thing and assigned the thing to the thing and set up the thing with the thing and went
I liked the ease of RPG Maker 1 despite it's non power.
The moral of the story is,XBox Live: Alzar2k
Playstation Network: Alzar2k
