All right, I'm being a bit over-dramatic. But basically, would you play a game for RPGM3 that was more of a choose your own adventure than a game? Format would switch between storytellers and basic walk around, talk, gather information stuff to make a storyline decision. That would determine the cutscene and stuff.

I've got a story that I think would be sweet, but I don't want to post the story quite yet. I want to get feedback on the idea itself. Tabloid was pretty great, so I'm not really the first, so I'm really wondering how you feel about long stories being delivered from storytellers.

Whoa - you changed your avatar?

Blasphemy!

But I've always liked choose-your-own-adventure things, so this could be an interesting premise.

I think this is a nice idea. You could do it justice too with RPG Maker 3, in my opinion.

As far as long stories being delivered with Storytellers, as long as there is an option to take a little break every now and then (sort of like an intermission), it could be okay. If you could have the opportunity to save every so often that would help a lot.

Yeah, it's not all story-tellers. There will be save points - I just mean that there is no "difficulty" beyond making moral choices. (Well, sometimes there will be tactical decisons, but you can never "lose" based on your actions, which is why I call it a movie instead of a game.)

Sounds like a graphic adventure, especially if you can come up with some puzzles. Those are making a comeback lately.

Yeah, I thought of doing this same thing a long time ago, actually. I actually mentioned something about it in my preview at the mag for Series 3 (which, of course, has never been finished). It was just kind of something I was toying around with at the time, with no concrete story to back it up...I was more interested in the idea. However, ever since I came up with the entire plotline of Series 4, which will be 3 episodes, a prequel, and two teasers long, I kind of had the idea to use something like an "interactive cut scene" for the entire teaser for Episode 2. The teaser for Episode 1 probably takes 1-2 hours to play...the teaser for Episode 2, if I do decide to do it this way, will probably only be 30-45 minutes.

With all that being said, yeah, it's a good idea.

Damn School! Get's in the way of me working on my game too, but it's my last year. Have to enjoy it because in a few years we'll be missing it. It kills me to say that now.

And the game sounds interesting. I never even considered useing it just to tell a story. An interactive one at that!

Aren't all rpg's like interactive stories?
Sounds like a good idea!
