so I've seen some Ep. III footage...

    *sigh*

I saw like 8 minutes from the game someone shared w/ us here at work. I dunno...it already feels like I'm trying to like it. Lucas really doesn't know how to make natural dialogue. Seeing Kenobi jump in the middle of a crowd of enemies and saying "ello there!" just doesn't feel right. It gives you that really awkward feeling.

And I LOVED Grievous (the robot general) from the cartoons, but here he seems even more cartoony than the cartoons. Every move he makes screams, "muahahaha, I'm evil! EVIL I TELL YOU!" I wouldn't be surprised if he kidnaps Padme and ties her to train tracks.

Still, special effects look great, action looks awesome...but why'd I think for a second that Lucas would learn?

The prequels are pretty much a marketing ploy: I went to a local superstore recently and there was Ep III merchandise in nearly every aisle. Lucas probably spent more time verifying licensing agreements than actually making the movies.

      Oh, absolutely.

Cartoon Network is gonna play every Clone Wars cartoon Saturday the 14th sometime.

      So, THAT'S cool...

i use to say the great thing about star wars, at least these days, is it's set "a long time ago in a galaxy far far away", meaning no jedi walking around sipping on pepsis. a godsend, truly. but he still sells out. just to his own brand of toys and products.

That was so lame (not your comment, Kire, but the deathstick thing in general).
