Because the main character is painfully annoying. I tried watching an episode and I'm liking it. Someone mentions Ramen, and Naruto turns into a hyperactive little idiot and annoys the hell outta me. I couldn't watch after that.
+ Rock Lee and Garra are painful to look at.

I really dislike 200+ episode Shonen series.

to me, naruto is crap. dubbed, subbed, manga or anime, it is complete garbage. it is the embodiment of everything wrong with anime. it doesnt do anything new. it's repetitive. the art style is extremely generic. the plot is extremely predictable. the anime is plagued by filler. the manga is plagued by every single volume being almost exactly like the one that came before it. the story isnt going anywhere, and never will. it's built to be able to go on for as long as the company behind it wants it to go on. it's being made not to tell a story, but to make money (just like dbz/dbgt). the characters are the same characters that have been recycled in anime for the past 30 years, just with new names and faces. it's boring. fight coreography is often lifted directly from other, far better animes (a blatant move-for-move, angle-for-angle theft from the cowboy bebop movie is among the most famous) rather than have the creators actually work to make an interesting fight themselves. there's no attachment to the characters or story. people think it's deep and made for older people when it's actual demographic is just starting elementary school (same went for DB/DBZ/DBGT). it is worshipped by mindless "anime fans" that ensure that it is so successful, that it will never, ever end, further ensuring that it was only continue to get worse as it goes on. sure, the manga and anime will end, but the merchandising, the video games, they will be around forever, and they will be annoying people for years to come. the fans are often stupid, wear the goddamn bandanas around like they're a legitimate part of their wardrobe, and think naruto is the best goddamn thing ever. there are very, very legitimate reasons why the anime community has named the franchise's fans as "narutards". and as long as these people continue to support naruto and think its the best goddamn thing ever, they will ensure new animes will come out every five years that are just like it, for a whole new group of idiots to praise.

I just recently tried to watch the show a few times, and I could not get into it at all.
