    Holographic scopes?

I've been hearing about how these scopes are considered to be the fastest close range sight around, but before I start saving money for one...I'd like to learn a little more about it! Recently, the army has been using these types of scopes in combat, and it somewhat intriuges me. From what I gather the sight is only visable from your end, and it projects the crosshairs up to 50 yards away (clearly).

This is about all I know right now, though.

In a nutshell, Holohraphic scopes utilize holographic patterns to become instantly visible to any light, thus centering naturally. It makes aiming a hell of a lot easier.

I own a cheapo version that I'm going to mount on my camera, eventually.

Wait, what? I don't get it. It's like auto-aim in an FPS? Huh?

No. it helps people kill other people.
