    Redubbing a film.

If I wanted to redub a film, what equipment would I need to do so?

What could I use to remove the allready existing audio and insert new audio...how about something to add subtitles?

    I don't have a DVD drive

If you have a camcorder and a microphone, you just record it onto the tape while dubbing the audio with the mic. Really, really easy. You need video editting software like Premier for Final Cut Pro to add subtitles, though.

Allright, I think I have all the equipment I need, then

As for the DVD drive, I'll just download the movie or show I plan to use and then send it to my buddy once I edit it and have him burn it or something.

Just look in the camcorder's booklet and there should be a section devoted to audio dubbing.

Thanks for the help, Highwind! I'll have to dig out all my camcoder stuff tomorrow.

The project should be interesting though, I hope. I think I'm going to redub either part of The Matrix or Alien or something to have shakespearian langauge, I'll try to post it here once I'm done.

              No, problem.

Video production is what I go to school for.
