    My Sims

    In a few days!

I can't get it right away, but I am wanting this game. I'm so excited! Too bad there's no online. I'll probably convince a friend of mine who is going to get it to let me borrow it for a night.

I saw vids and stuff, and I have to say....there's so much depth to the gameplay in spite of its cutesy, simplistic shell.

    Anyone else getting it?

I was interested, but after reading the reviews, I'm not all up ons...not enough customability...I might rent it though outta curiousity.

Yeah, the reviews are pretty much bashing it.

Looking at these videos I can't see where there is not enough customizing.

              Re: My Sims

is it like all other console versions of the sims that are dumbed-down, objetive based gameplay and nothing like the PC software? if so, I'll ignore it. if it's gameplay is like the PC sims, I'll pick it up.

Neither. Totally different game. The only thing similar is that they speak that odd language.

I've been curious about getting this game for the DS, but I dunno which version this topic is about. But do both versions not have multiplayer?

                      Re: My Sims

Something appeals to me more about actually building your house and furniture from scratch as opposed to just "upgrading" it like in the PC version.

Graphically I like what they have going on, it's odd yet cute.

Actually, it was the Wii version.

Sadly, there's no multiplayer or online play. It's a pretty big setback for a game like the Sims, but the customization opportunities are numerous.

ah, nevermind then. I'd only play something goofy like that with others.

No sense customizing things if no one can see it.

Yeah, it's pointless if you can't share your creations.

Which is why I'm suddenly thinking now about LittleBigPlanet.
