So far I have used the pavilion in two of my school papers.
One, called "Rousseau and the Internet", discusses the internet and message boards in terms of his Discourse of Inequality of Man ideal that man was good as "savage man" and tained by society to become evil. The idea was man is inherently good as "anonymous internet entity" but gets tainted in an internet community to become evil.
My second paper, called "Punishing the Internet Community", is for my Morality of Punishment class. It is about 1/3rd done, and it will discuss utilitarianism and retributionism ideals related to punishment philosophies in message board communities.
I found that writing papers like this are the only way I can keep these HORRIBLY BORING STUPID CLASS mildly entertaining and applicable to something I give a rats ass about.
Has anyone else used the pavilion in any of their papers, or am I just cuckoo?
