    That'd be unoriginal.

Make whatever you want; just beware that many people would not play your game if you made a Final fantasy spinoff.

The only thing you would be copying is the name. In every FF the characters have different names (sometimes you give them the names), the towns, everything. Also the objective varies.

Good luck. Pulling off a Final Fantasy game would prove incredibly difficult on any RPG Maker.

You could probably make a semi-good FFI clone on RPGM1 though....

              Re: Copying real video games?

The problem with copying professional games is that most of us have already played them. Why would we want to play them again on an RM that will likely not be as good?

I am not knocking the idea, because I'm sure there'd be a novelty factor in it.

No, they wouldn't. Look at how many Zelda games have been made.

There'd only be sueing if you a) made money off of the game and/or b) the game is an exact copy of another. Which would be the equivilant of pirating.

And impossible with RPG Maker, to the best of my knowledge.

Why impossible? What's missing to RPGM3?

                        ...Seriously?

Try making a exact copy of A Legend of Zelda bit for bit, and then ask me again if it's impossible.

That would be so retarded, it would give FF a bad name. No rpg maker could make anything near FF quality.[/SIZE]

I think maybe it would be ok to do a FF parody, or FF homage/spinoff.
