    God, are people stupid...

    My housemate is watching that smarter than a fifth grader show, and the question was about Lindbergh flying the first solo TRANSATLANTIC flight from New York to what city, and EVERYONE, including the fifth graders, answered with a city in the US. What in God's name are they teaching kids these days? I don't regularly watch this show or anything, but GOD, seeing something like this is pretty disheartening.

      The very next question asked during which time period King Tut lived....the choices were 1400 AD, 500 AD, and 1400 BC (or sometime before Christ....I forgot the exact date they listed)...and the guy answered that it wasn't BC, so he answered 1400 AD.


      I was thinking to myself....yeah, King Tut lived 92 years before Columbus "discovered" America. Morons.

          Yeah, you're right....because if the quote was grammatically correct, it would use the words "quotation marks" instead of "quotes." It's a sample from a song....what can I say.
