Is anyone still buying old(er) games?

I rented the Way of the Samurai 2 years ago and decided to buy it.

I have to say it's still as awsome as the time I rented it.

So is anyone still investing in older games they may have missed last-gen?

I finally picked up morrowind and doom3 for xbox a few days ago. They were $5.00 each, so I was like "eh, what the hell." I also got a copy of Psychonauts for $15.00, and played that while I was stuck at home last week.

I do all of the time. I don't have the dough to get any of this newfangled crap, so older games are where it's at.

I just got a 360 and never had the original Xbox, so there are many games for that I am looking into purchasing.

I always keep my eyes open for a good deal. Right now I'm collecting the Shadow Hearts games (just bought Koudelka and the first two... surprisingly not a single store in my area has the 4th game). Whenever I'm in town I usually swing by pawn shops who always seem to carry really old games. I bought Monster Party last week, box and everything, and the Wizardry Archives the week before that. I even managed to find an old American edition of the MSX that had support for every previous (including the Japanese decks) MSXs that only sold about 100,000 copies in America.

Considering most old games are like... 10 bux and under you really can't go wrong.

I'm getting ready to replace my PS2/buy FFXII, which I still haven't played. Dirge of Cerberus, either.

I visit the local goodwill every weekend. They get a lot of N64, SNES and NES games. 2.99 each. I got perfect dark two weeks ago, starfox 64 the week before that. Almost every week I pick up a classic plastic. I have enjoyed this much more than spending 30+ on new games. I took a long break from video games during high school and college, so now I'm catching up.

You're talking to a girl who practically is married to old games!

I've got quite a collection of oldies but goodies. A lot of them are reasonably priced nowadays and easily affordable.

i did when i had the money, and i would if i had the cash.

although the other day, a friend of mine bought a neo-geo pocket color along with bio-motor unitron and king of fighters r-2. man, snk fighters rock for that little system. and the analog joystick is 100x better than the psp.

Actually, I'm more of a polygamist. I'm married to at least thirty or so old games.
