In fact if you go to target you can get sonic mega-collection and sonic heroes for 20 bucks. TOGETHER.

Man, I just beat it. No wonder I was never able to beat the game as a kid, even with save states the game was a pain in the ass.

Pfft, I can beat Sonic 2 in 4 hours, with a bunch of extra lives left over. When I was a kid, I used to be so good at the special stages, I'd manage to become Super Sonic before the last checkpoint in Emerald Hill. As you would guess, 99% of the game at that point was cake.

I guess the only thing this one has going for it is the online multiplayer.

Yeah. But the multiplayer is basically just a simple race, where only the braindead could lose miserably. A few laps around the areas and you could flash anybody in no time. Also, the game scores players based on time, rings and score I believe, so I guess there might be some strategy there... if you suck.

Yeah, I have never been able to beat Sonic 2. It's impossible, I swear.

I never beat it too many times throughout my childhood either, because 50% of the time, there was a glitch or something that'd make you fall through robotnik's mech when you hit it instead of bouncing off, causing you to die, since you couldn't have any rings in the final battle.
