Problems with the PS3 store

So when I first get my PS3 it asks me if I want to enter my credit card information, so I say sure why not. So I enter in all the information correctly and the it comes back and says the Credit card information is invalid. So I'm like O RLY, you mean the card I bought the PS3 with and have recently used to buy other things is somehow invalid. So I try 3 more times, trying all Caps and a lot of other things but it still insists my perfectly valid card is magically invalid in PS3 land.

So yeah, looks like I won't be buying anything off of the PS3's online store, I guess unless I get another credit card so it can tell me that card's information is invalid. Just curious as to if anyone else has had this problem.

not with that store but other online stores ive had the problem with. it works again in half a week i found. also imputing the information too much sometimes locks the card from being accepted. why not call their cs hotline? make sure things like the expiry isnt reversed or input a different address then your cc (different address then your cc will red flag and halt sales as it prevents alot of fraud.)

Nope pretty sure that's not it, as I've said I have bought things since messing with it. I double and triple check things most of the time, so I know that's not it. This is the only thing I've ever had trouble with that card on.

Also it has been about 5 days today since I last tried it, and it didn't work today either.

I haven't had a problem with buying stuff from the PlayStation store. I have had connection problems at times when the thing just disconnects for no apparent reason, but it doesn't really irritate me since I don't visit the Store as much.

I didn't register my credit card info when it asked me the first time. I'm sure you signed up for the PlayStation membership. It should let you purchase stuff from the Store.

By the way, TTC, I thought I registered you in my Friend List, but I still don't see your name.

Also, are you POSITIVE you're entering your name EXACTLY as it's printed on your card? I got in trouble a few times for forgetting I have my middle initial on mine.

You know what's weird. They cut off the last letter of my last name on my debit card but I guess they have it right in the system and it just didn't fit on the card itself because it's never caused a problem.

Yeah, you also have to make sure that your credit card address info is the same as your current address info. if ANYTHING is wrong in the slightest, it wont accept it.

One website gave me a hassle because the bank wrote my address on one line and I use two lines for the apartment number.

Yeah that is wierd as I'm the one who initiated the friend thing, but I haven't gotten any messages from you in my inbox. PostulateMan sent me a request and I accepted and it worked. It still says pending response to add as a Friend under your name. Maybe Sony just hates me.

Not even close, I keep very good tabs on my credit card spending, and have a pretty high limit.

Well since I had the card in front of me the whole time yes. I even tried inputting it in all caps like it is on the card but to no avail.

Well it's the same I use on every other site, and I looked it up on my online account management just to make sure and it's the same. So I have no idea why it's being so retarded, I guess they don't want my money.

Do you have a different card you can try? I've not really heard of a problem like this before.

Edit: I take that back, apparently it does happen occasionally. Of course, make sure the card you are using has the Visa or MC logo on it, or Discover, otherwise it wouldnt work.

Again, my suggestion is to try another card if you have one.

Well looks like the address has to be on one line, even though it's definitely 2 lines on my online account management for my card, at least it worked I guess. Still retarded. Oh and Misty if you don't see my new message I think I'm going to try deleting you and readding you.
