Heavenly Sword

Comes out this week. I played the demo and found it to be pretty fun. People are calling it a spiritual precursor to God of War.

I'm a sucker for those kind of action games where you can hack and slash at multiple enemies. Mark your calendars for September the 12th or 13th.

We're about halfway into the holiday season, so I'd better prep my purse.

Already got it preordered. It is an absolute must have for me, I think my next big PS3 purchase after that is gonna be Ratchet.

Edit: Damn, Folklore is coming Oct 2, and Eye of Judgement is coming same day as Ratchet.

I may pick it up after work on Saturday or Sunday (Since Friday is the day it gets released and games usually go on the shelves a day late).

Right now I'm trying to tie up some loose ends on the previous gen, so it'll probably be the last new game I get until I've finished the God of War series, Destroy All Humans 2, and possibly Final Fantasy XII.

and heavenly sword started development on the first X box, before god of war was even thought up. so yes, precursor.

the new gameplay videos really have my interest high. especially the new one with the retard girl gameplay.

GameSpot gave it an 8.0.

Not bad. Not bad at all, sir.

The only complaint they had was that it's too short. But that doesn't matter. The frenetic action will keep you busy, and it's got enough chops for me personally to play it again when it's all over.......just so I can dice up about a hundred guys at once.

I've said this about many other games--Heavenly Sword is a game that I can play when I'm really having a bad day.

Typical? Wow, how often do you see a game with a female protagonist that kicks ass? I only know of a couple of them. Metroid, Tomb Raider, Drakan, Summoner 2, Kameo, Lost Kingdoms...cant really think of much else, and not sure if all of those games would fall into that category either.
