Left 4 Dead

I really didn't know anything about this game until today. Seems like a new-gen Resident Evil Outbreak but with FPS controls. It also seems to have borrowed REO's major flaw of not letting you communicate freely.

Anyway, what are the thoughts from people who know more about it?

From what I've seen, it seems like just another zombie game. To be fair, though, I haven't seen too much to make that conclusion.

It looks cool, till you hear the gunfire sound effects. They sound so crappy. Why can't people just use actual gunfire sounds they could easily record.
