I usually go for walks outside through the pastures. Today I found some bear foot prints and some bear crap. There's most likely still a bear in our area. I think it might have left. But I am going to wait a few days.

I grew up in Bear Country- northern British Columbia. Bears were a common occurance. It's against the law to put your garbage out the night before because of them. If you do go walking again, make noise while you are out there.
When Karr and I went back last summer to visit my family, I asked him what he would do in case he crossed paths with a bear- he said run. II told him to curl up in a fetal position with his hands on his neck and that after pawing you around like a ball, the bear would most likely leave you alone. He was, "**** that, I run."
