    The GAY -- a retrospective

So, it's been about a year and some months since I finished this move w/ The Movies and the responses I get continue to amuse me. While most get that it's a satire, making fun of people being afraid of gays and gay marriage corrupting the children and whatnot, there have been a LOT of people who basically say "burn in hell, gay basher," or something similar.

Is the fact that the irony of the movie lost on them my fault or theirs? Was I not obvious enough? Would being more obvious ruin the charm of the movie? I can't really say...

Even so, I'm still proud of making this, and I'm dissappointed that I haven't made anything else w/ The Movies. It's an awesome creative tool, and I consider myself to be a good storyteller and director...so maybe half the reason I'm posting this is so that I can motivate myself to make more movies.

Oh and if you haven't seen it yet, take a second and watch it, I'm much appreciate it.

That was awesome! Only gripe I had was the mismatched volume on the voices, and the lack of their distinction at times.

It's hilarious. I guess some people are too obtuse to understand it?

I only ever made one movie with The Movies too, never even finished it. But that's mainly because my laptop crapped out on me a year ago or so and this desktop can't run any game made in the last 10 years. Actually, the laptop barely ran The Movies. I'll make sure to get a better computer next time.

Hilarious. I have to start playing that game again, and get that expansion pack, maybe.

The people who didn't get the satire are stupid and I wouldn't worry about them. It wasn't too subtile or anything.

There are always going to be people who don't get it. It wouldn't necessarily be your fault, and in this case, it isn't. Some people just don't understand metaphors, and they suck because of that.
