    Max files and Me

    So, I've got RPGM 2 and 3, right? I've got access to this wonderful creation community, and so many games made with these tools.

    But i've got a ps3. And while transferring ps2 saves from my ps3 to my PC isn't any trouble at all, getting max files into my ps3 seems impossible, right?

    without access to the actual max drive hardware, is there any tools i can use to unpack/uncompile any of these max files to my PC into regular ps2 saves?

    Nope.

    Luckily, there are some RPG Maker 1, 2 and 3 games available on the site in the PS3's memory card format.

    Games that are in this format will have a "Download PS3" link in their listing (or a PS3 link after their title for RPGM1 games)

    To learn how to transfer these files to your PS3, check the "using the pavilion" page.

    I'm actually in the middle of converting a bunch of RPGM2 and 3 games right now. should be up later today. that's pretty much all I plan on doing this week, site-related. because of the garbage contest and losing my memory card adapter, I had to take quite a long break from it.

      Oh, and if there are any specific games you would like to check out, but aren't in the right format, let me know what they are and I'll bump them up on my list.

        awesome. i'm glad to hear about those conversions. i spent plenty of time searching for these makers, much less trying to find a max drive too, lol.

          a max drive would be useless to you. the software will not load on the PS3.

            oh really? i was under the impression the software loaded on a pc and you used it as a bridge...nvm then.

                a max drive would be useless to you. the software will not load on the PS3.
                It may not work with 80gb ps3, but it does work with 60gb ps3. I have one and it works and I have no problems. If anyone wants to know I can explain!!

                  I've put it in my 60GB PS3, and it will not load.

                  just tried it again, it does not show up at all in the game directory (where it would launch from). it shows up in the video directory, where you can watch it's opening video, and it's recognized in the other media directories, but in none that would actually let you launch the max drive software.

                    Well if you still want to play the games on your PS3, make a request in this thread and I'll get around to converting it for you into PS3 format.
