I got tired of looking at all the money-spending topics and the lack of me in them. So I make my own.

Just got a Samsung 40" 720p LCD HDTV. Not quite awesome by today's standards, but it beats the hell out of my old TV, which was a crappy tube from 1997.

I set it up last Monday and have been steadily enjoying a 40" PC monitor, beautiful PS3 graphics with HDMI (plus blu-ray), and DVD content with my component cables.

I have yet to pick up component cables for my Wii. I ran out of money.

I may never experience HD quality. I don't think I could ever bring myself to spend near that much on a TV even if I had the money. And from what I've heard the cheap HDTV's aren't worth getting. I spent $100 for my TV and I'll watch it until it blows up.

The cheap HDTVs looked like crap compared with my mid-level one, and were ugly as rotting roadkill compared to the high-end ones that cost $3,000+. I'm content with mid-level.

Now I need a decent sound system.
