Due to a very belated birthday gift a distant relative sent me ($800), I decided to do something I thought I'd never be able to do this year.....or even next year even.
I'm now the proud owner of a....<drum roll>..... PlayStation 3!
Despite what's been said about it, personally, I have always wanted to own one since the beginning. I never said I didn't want to get it. I wanted it, but didn't have the money, and availability was scarce. Happily, I got a break--found some at a K-Mart and got the 60GB model--the model that can still play old PS2 and PS1 games. I was told the new 80GB PS3s no longer had that feature.
I usually do not pay much attention to system specs and the discussions about what system performs the best, or which of them have the best games. What matters to me is the games of my own personal interest. For the PS3, I was reminded of what could come for it--Wild ARMs, Dark Cloud, Ratchet and Clank, a new Shadow of the Colossus--those certain Sony exclusives that I want to experience.
So now, I own all three of the major competing consoles.....the Wii, the 360 and the PS3. It's a lot of money to spend, but I promised myself I'd save money and wait for certain titles to drop in price before getting them. And besides, I have Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Genji, and Virtua Fighter 5 to keep me busy!
Apart from the three that I bought, and considering the current choices, do you guys have any other recommends for me? Thanks in advance!
