    B Vitamins

    My brother is no longer affected by caffeine and was looking for a pick me up cuz he's falling asleep and whatnot. I mentioned B vitamins are all the rage, but I haven't researched them myself.

    Has anyone heard any bad things about B vitamin supplements? Just curious.

    Any vitamin supplement can cause an overdose if you take enough of it, but I've never really heard anything about B vitamins in particular.

      Try Ginseng ROOT Tea.

        The people who make Vitamin Water make Vitamin Energy which uses B12 and other **** instead of caffiene, taurine, guarana etc.

        They're pretty nice.

          Yeah B Vitamins are found in most energy drinks to the best of my knowledge (the more 'natural' ones anyways). Plus they're just generally good for you, but I believe they are the fat soluble variety so be careful getting too much of them. Overdosing on anything can be pretty bad for you, even vitamins.

          He could also try eating more pasta, since those have complex carbohydrates which provide more long lasting energy instead of the quick pick me ups of simple carbohydrates like sugars and glucose.

          But yeah B vitamins are good for you, but like everything in appropriate servings.

          He could also try getting slowly away from caffeine, also getting more sleep if he's not doing that (I know obvious but in our culture of workaholics we sometimes forget).

            if he isnt already, tell him to drink lots and lots and lots of water. a large majority of people go dehydrated without really knowing it, and this can have a big effect on your energy levels throughout the day.
