    Namco and Bandai merger

    http://quote.bloomberg.com/apps/news...HPg&refer=home

This is kind of cool. Namco has some very talented teams and Bandai has a bunch of anime licenses like One Piece, Naruto, Gundam, and Cowboy Bebop. I'd like to see the SC or Tekken team do a One Piece or Naruto game.

what does that have to do with anything this topic is about?

I hope this doesnt mean that bandai is going to stop using their own game development teams.

what? bandai does not do anime. bandai in AMERICA licenses anime from japan, but thats it. they dont create it, they just have a partnership with Sunrise and a few other anime companies to create merchandise based on the series.

              Valk is right.

I wonder how this will affect support for Nintendo systems. Nintendo does own about 3-6 % of Bandai shares. Nintendo will own a little bit of Namco now. Maybe they can get some more games from them.

what does that have to do with anything? neither bandai nor namco have US development studios.

That would rock. Especially if you really could roll up trees, people, and skyscrapers.

oddly enough you can roll that stuff up in the actual game.

yes, but most all of the anime license games from Japan that were translated into english were not the good ones, if there are any.
