Yep. loaded a save for Megaman X Collection, went to save, oh, memory card is not found. exit to the XMB, the memory card is there, in slot 1, using 4MB of the available 8, and 'there is no data" YAY.

Truly an achievement. Well that sucks, I was looking forward to being able to have good backups, guess I'll have to back up the backups and probably still have to use the Max Drive .

That sucks.
Hopefully it was just a rare event. Maybe if I eventually buy a PS3 I should just keep my PS2/PS1 saves on my PS2's HDD instead of the PS3.
