    Games that haven't aged well

Honestly, because some people still love Xenogears. And rightfully so, it was awesome to play and behold when it came out. The graphics aren't holding up too well for me. I press the menu button and it takes way too long to pop up (as in, not instant). Then there's the battle camera. Lord. I mean, honestly, I really loved the game before. Mostly. I just tried to play it the other day and it didn't feel quite as good.

What games do you think have aged most poorly?

I'll go the obvious route and say FF7.

Pfft, Xenogears aged better than FFVII. Even when I first played the game in 1998, I was like WTF?

Vagrant Story - I love the game. There are a lot of things that hold up well within it, but the graphics are a real eyesore now, and the controls are a little clunky. I'd give Mora's left nut to see this freshened up a la Tomb Raider.

Dragon Warrior - I had a ton of fun playing this when I was little (on the NES). I've put it in for nostalgia's sake and can't imagine being entertained by it...5 minutes is about as much as I can take.

Starwars: Shadows of the Empire: I tried playing this game a few months ago, and I could barely get my person to move... I loved it when the game first came out though.

Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina Of Time

the game impressed me when it first came out, but for the past four or so years, I just can't stand trying to replay it. especially the water temple.

with the texture smoothing option for ps2, i think the graphics have more personality and atmosphere than most games for any console, old or new. some of the best ever, imo.

I can't wait to replay Vagrant Story thanks to a certain cow.

                      This post is correct.

And I agree with everyone ELSE mentioned so far. I think the whole N64 library is outdated.

Oh MAN, Legend of Dragoon? In one scene, Rose's leg literally popped apart!

Who let the game ship with stuff like that?

I think of all the N64 titles, Starfox 64 really, really still holds up. Along with Paper Mario.

I can hardly stand to play through Mario 64.

So are we talking about replay value after 5 years or something?

In that case, obviously the winner is Ico.
                            ...and that's why.

                              I think just looks/gameplay.

I wish I could remember the name for an N64 game, ''somthing: the last mage'' or whatever. It was good when I got it, now I can't stand a minute.
