Depends on the ethnicity of the person, if he'd killed a white woman for instance, this reaction would pale in comparison.Originally posted by Valkysas View PostNAACP is saying that what he did wasnt that bad, and is comparable to hunting deer. also, that he's being treated worse than if he would have killed a person.
My prediction...significant fine(500k+), banned from playing professionally, 5-10 year sentence where he does about 6-24 months of real time, unless he pleads, then maybe he gets to play ball again..So you're a fish out of water...
Keep swimming.
What else can you do?

Re: Michael Vick predictions?
He's going to jail for a year guaranteed. And anything less than a one year suspension from the NFL is ridiculous. Goodell has shown precedent with Tank Johnson that he'll add a suspension to jail time. I don't see him being a quarterback again in the league and I could see his ego not accepting a running back position leading him to the CFL, or another football league.
But really any speculation without knowing the terms of his plea bargain is presumptuous.Last edited by IRC; 08-22-2007, 04:48 PM.The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

Not going to happen. It'd be fiscally irresponsible of him. A more likely scenario is the Judge throwing out the DA's recommendation for sentencing and giving him multiple years. The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. Well we still don't know what charges he plead guilty to exactly, maybe not all of them. That being said, the likely outcome is one year in jail, and two years suspension on top of that. (possibly lifetime, but I don't think it is justified) Then he'll come back and be signed by the Raiders.

Re: Michael Vick predictions?
The judge cannot reject the deal, simply because the deal does not include a certain jail time. What people aren't taking in is that the prosecutors there do not have the ability to dictate jail term sentences, only the judge can. They can recommend a sentence, but the judge has the ability to throw out the recommendation and sentence him to anything within the guidelines. He cannot, however, reject a guilty plea (one caveat: if Vick doesn't fully comply with what that means, which may include doing an elocution, then he can reject the plea), and he cannot force the prosecutor to reinstate charges that have been dropped or not brought yet (dropping charges is often a part of a plea agreement with the prosecutor in order to get around the sentencing part, however it seems in this case rather than drop the more serious charges the prosecutor simply never charged him with them, but let him know that they were preparing an indictment under RICO).
From what I've been reading, the judge has been known to impose harsh sentences. I predict he'll be sentenced to between 18 and 24 months, with it ending up being closer to 18. The NFL will take its time, but will likely initially impose an indefinite suspension, not for the dogfighting, but instead for the gambling and lying to the commissioner. Personally, I'm predicting that will become a 2 year suspension after Vick is released from jail.
The Falcons will likely suspend him, then sue him for breach of contract (his being unable to play due to being in jail) in order to recoup some of his signing bonus. By the time his suspension is over, he'll have been cut.
I think he'll try to go the CFL, find difficulty in obtaining a visa, and will instead be taken by an Arena football team. He'll succeed there, and around 2012 a NFL team may take interest in bringing him on as a backup. I don't see him as ever landing a starting quarterback position in the league ever again.Last edited by Patryn; 08-22-2007, 07:03 PM.
