Re: Would it ever be possible...
can you even save memory card files from the browser to the proper directory?
if so, maybe. according to the statistics available, most PS3 owners actually don't have their consoles online, but almost everyone in the US has a PC connected to the internet. so thats why I chose to host the older RPG Maker files as zip files.

Re: Would it ever be possible...
If it's possible to do it, we probably would. I checked when I first got my PS3, and it did not know what to do with the files. it's possible they've fixed that since then (that was way back in april), and if they've fixed it, I'd consider it if it didnt require more work than the current method does. I'll look into it. I planned on starting the file conversions up again after this whole garbage contest thing was over with, since I lost my memory card adapter for a few months and just recently found it. I think it'd be best to investigate this possible method before I go converting any more games.

Also, what's your process of choosing which games will get the PS3 treatment? Because I've got two games with over 350 downloads each, and they have not been transferred to the PS3 format, yet a game like Spheer (not saying anything bad about it...I did review it, after all) got the PS3 treatment before it even got any downloads.
Are you gonna do another batch of these anytime soon?

I planned on starting the file conversions up again after this whole garbage contest thing was over with, since I lost my memory card adapter for a few months and just recently found it.method investigated, by the way. doesnt work. can't upload memory card files with the PS3 browser. Unless we can both accept submissions and allow downloads of a file type, we won't support it. even if you could download memory card files with the PS3 browser, you can't submit them. which means any PS3-format saves would have to be zipped first, then submitted, then we'd have to download them, unzip them, and put the file up for download. too much trouble.I think it'd be best to investigate this possible method before I go converting any more games.
and spheer was converted because I downloaded it to play, didnt have a PS2 in my room at the time, so I had to convert it to a PS3 format save to play anyways.
conversions will start up again soon. it's a slow process, converting games. one I do all by myself, which requires me to swap AV cords between the PS3 and PS2, and a lot of other tedious things.
with the exception of IRC adding non-contest game submissions to the game directory, everything on the pavilion website falls on me, and I have absolutely no one to help with it. so yes, things go slow. things get delayed too. I'm constantly fighting my own memory/blackout problems too.Last edited by Valkysas; 08-21-2007, 04:30 PM.

Re: Would it ever be possible...
I'm a little confused. Is this talking about RPG Maker 1 games, or RPGM in general?"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

Would I need a Dex Drive or Max Drive to help you with this? I'm assuming you download them, put them in the card to be read and then use the memory card adapter to convert them to the PS3 format? If so, shucky darn.Last edited by Chad; 08-22-2007, 12:47 AM.

Re: Would it ever be possible...
I agree and I dont blame ya, I download everything on my pc, but with in a month I will be getting a ps3, but anywho hey Valkysas you think you can get digimon sprites. I was thinking of a new digimon game that you have to be the digi destin kids to search for the divices and the digi spirits. I know they haven't keep up with the series. I have most of the digimon sprites. But the rest are in gif file and i can't figure out how to change the format to PNG file which rpg maker 2000 can read.can you even save memory card files from the browser to the proper directory?

Re: Would it ever be possible...
highly unlikely. if he does and would like to prove it, that's fine. I'll grab my manual and ask him what's on a certain page of it. of course, that'd be a waste of time, as he already said elsewhere that he downloaded it for free.
and that STILL doesnt change the fact that this site does not support RPG Maker 2000, and we would never, ever dream of hosting resources for it.Last edited by Valkysas; 09-15-2007, 01:05 PM.
