I will depart to California tomorrow, (Saturday) and it will be for a week. I'm going to San Diego and we are hoping to go see Hollywood. I can't wait! What vacations has everybody else gone on?

I've had some great vacations, but those stories suck, so here's my worst vacation:
In early June this year, me and my family went to Cooperstown New York. Baseball hall of fame, blah blah blah. When we get back to the motel from the town, literally, not 30 seconds after we drove in, a tree crashes right where we would've been had we left 30 seconds sooner. No exaggeration. It knocks out power lines, leaving a live wire in the only exit, therefore trapping us with no power. We were there for a few hours, waiting for the damn power people to come and fix this.
So we're trapped there, fortunately though, a high school baseball team from Connecticut was staying there to, the coach was very nice, we got food.
So finally after like three damn hours, they move the damn wire, we leave, find a Best Western, get literally the last room they have, and we get more TV channels, an indoor pool, and they had a bowling alley and some thing going on with music and stuff in there. So it all ended well but damn, 30 second difference between life and death and being stuck there with no power. At least it was day time.

i feel like, to vacation, you sort of have to be "working", or something. even if i went somewhere, i'd have a hard time telling people "yep, going on vacation. can't wait to get away from all this ****" as i sat on my couch and sipped my umbrella drink.
