Oh God, this reminds me of one of my first posts about hacking the first RPG Maker to add music. GOD that's weird.

    And like... no.

I wish there was. Then I could get some music that's actually appropriate for the situations.

Are you sure there's no way to replace the music in that game?

Well is there a way to add new songs into the game?

Even if you could hack, how would you add music in the PS2?

The only way to "add music" to RPGM2 is to make a script.

Even so it's not really adding music.

But there where Gameshark codes for RPGM1, but all they're just Golbi cheats.

I wonder if he's talking about ripping the rom and hacking it to add music and then play it on your computer.

You could rip the game, replace the audio files, and burn it, then mod your PS2 to play it, but no one playing the game would hear the custom music.

So basically, you would only hear the music on your own copy. Yeah, not worth the effort.

Then again, as Setzer said he "understands its possible" which isn't to say that he heard it from anyone here. Technically you can hack anything, but if you have that kinda of know-how, why bother buying an RPG-making game? Why not just make you own??

As a side note, if you have music that you'd like the player to be listening to in your game, why not create an additional CD that can be played simultaniously so as to portray the "correct" music? You could even put little sidenotes like, "Track 4" at the begining of towns/dungeons/etc so that all people would have to do is follow along next to their CD player...
