    Futuristic sword.

    I was thinking of an awesome sword for future rpg's. I don't know if it's been designed before(probably).
    It's like a futuristic katana, only the blade is dull with little crystals replacing the blade. From the handle a laser is shot out to form a laser blade that follows the crystals. (A sketch below)
    Has something like this been thought of yet???(No it's nothing like a damn lightsaber, those would be near impossible to make even in the future)
    -The circled in orange one is turned on, other one is turned off. They have triggers to turn the beam.-

            I think I've seen swords like that being used in the current TMNT series.

                Yeah, I believe the "Guardians" used them.

                    I dunno, it's something similar. For certain it was a blade that had a laser edge that was turned on and off. I don't think it was crystals, though.

                      Do you know of a good screenshot of the PSO one??? I always thought those looked more like light sabers instead of the metal base w/ laser edge.

                        Similar weapons have shown up in Gundam stuff before too.
