Technical Problem on Computer

I'm having a bit of a problem on my computer. I used to use Sims Unleashed which was old, so whenever I went on Sims Unleashed, my computer automatically went to 8 bit color (Low). Problem is, it's uninstalled now and whenever I boot up AOL, it goes to 8 bit color automatically from 32 bit color (High).
Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this? Also, I believe on all computers if you are at your desktop, right-click, go to properties, and then settings, you'll see what I'm talking about. But I also believe that you cannot access 8 bit color. Any help on my predicament?

I've had issues with AOL and Sims before as well. But they worked it out on their own in the end. So I can't help too much.

Even though, it shouldn't be going to 8 bit color for Sims. You might have something set wrong in the game options. Or, like they said, dump AOL and move on to better things.

Cant you right click AOL main program, click on the Compatiblitiy, and hit 256 or something colors to get it to be normal?


I have no idea if what i said'll work, but at the very least, try a reinstall, if you havent already.

My computer suffers from emotional problems stemming from it's childhood in Cupertino.
