I went to check it out because I heard it was a really great musical, and after seeing it, I really do agree. Not only have I seen two great musicals within a year (Dreamgirls is the second), but I now have a new celebrity crush (see pic above). I really couldn't care less that the girl is plump. Her portrayal in the movie is commendable because she stands up against the "norm" of anoerxic, dull, but socially acceptable Barbie dolls. She's plump, yes, but she doesn't dwell on that; she just wants to dance. The movie also speaks on more (integration of the races, change, etc.) but it doesn't oversaturate the film. I'd definitely see this again.
