Well that looked more like the menu for a kart game, and the gameplay of a tank shooter.
I would probably make the tank appear when you are customizing it, since it doesn't make much sense to see a car instead of what you are getting. A tank.
Pretty cool, I must say. And the radar is a very nice touch. Other than what Vonwert said, all I have to add is.... it is a bit quiet. No music and I would think that should hear at least the sound of the engine. Ya know, the little things that add a little more depth.
Ok, they're more/less tanks or karts(there's even a tractor tire part that really completes the 'tank' look).
As for the engine noises, I was considering that, and if you guys think it would improve it, I'll add some.. but I have no idea how some music could be added. I doubt I could make some and the default music just doesn't fit in.
I'm not entirely sure, but I think there is something on the site that can convert music into a midi like script for custom music. Now if only I can remember where that is.
While it looks interesting, I find it less than promising that you, the developer, wasn't able to win.
And unfortunately I couldn't see the whole video, as for some reason Youtube won't play the last 1/3 of it.
"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."
That was a demo, and there isn't a way to win yet. You also can't lose yet. The hearts were all gone, and I was still there.. didn't you notice that?
I added movement sounds, and it improves the game, though the game's definitely being pushed. Some slowdown occurs in two of the levels with it. I might be able to squeeze in some music on one of the effects always shown, but I'm not sure if that would cause further slowdown or not.
Still, some music wouldn't hurt in the shop area, and maybe even the title screen.
I saw the hearts disappear, and a couple seconds later, it went back to the menu. I thought that was what happens when you lose.

I just finished the player's attacking script, and with it, the ability to win.
Now that the game has this, it was possible to test out the actual gameplay for the first time. It was a pretty fun fight. I got lucky, and was able to beat the low-level cpu's kart by just attacking until I ran out of energy and then retreating to recharge 'til I was ready to attack again. This only worked because the low-level cpu's set to not be too aggressive with it's attacking and it ended up having one of the weaker weapons, not much better than my default weapon you start out with. I'll have to see how a fight against a cpu with a stronger weapon goes, then tweak it's aggression and dodging ability accordingly.
I'm adding a new feature to the game which'll enhance it's gameplay considerably:
Shields.
Now instead of just dodging, you can use your energy to withstand attacks. These cost less energy than attacking, so it can give you an energy advantage over agressive opponents, as long as their weapon's not stronger than your shield.
What do you guys think? Does anyone have any suggestions for my game?
