MAH XBOX IS BRAIN HURT

Was playing it for about 2 hours before it froze about 5 times in the last 45 minutes and I turned it off for the night. NOT BEFORE TAKING A PICTURE!

So what causes it to checkerboard and then freeze up?

Anyway, my 360's working fine so far. Except for the occasional buzzing noise I hear when disc games load up, but it still works like a charm.

Looks similar to what happened to mine before I had to get it repaired.

Stuff like this is why I hesitate to buy a 360.


I have to give Sony credit. For everything they've done wrong, they did create a fairly quiet, dependable system.

Well, if it is any consolation to the PS3 haters, my roommates PS3 died after 8 days...but we returned it and he has a brand new one now. Of course i have had mine since about 3 weeks after launch, and it has worked flawlessly.

GPU problem, most likely overheating.

If I remember correctly, there were the same 'checkerboard' problems with CoD2 right after the 360 launch.

Do you know if you have the one with the new heatsink? They're supposed to be more reliable.
