    Brave Fencer Musashi...

I love this freaking game. It's so under noticed though. It's story was bad ass, with everyone having their names based on food dishes, epic boss battles, a glorious soundtrack by Tsuyoshi Sekito, and it's sequel was a bit worse but good nonetheless.

It's a real gem I'm sure if Square-Enix brought back, would kill it. But the game itself is fantastic. Musashi design is what I base a lot of my drawings of Leon around, as well, because the art style is awesome in itself.

I'm pretty sure no one else feels the same way as I do, but to me this was the best game ever.

Oh no, I loved this game. I don't think the sequel was worse, though.

I loved it too. I rented it a lot, because I could never find it in stores. and now it's expensive as hell. never played the sequel for the PS2 because the style changed too much.

one of my favorite activities was going and buying toys of all the different characters in the game. such an odd thing to put in the game, but I still think it was pretty cool.

Yeah, it's odd that they'd change his hair color. Other than that, it didn't really feel all that different, I don't think.

            I've only played the demo...

I recently bought the sequel for 10 bucks, but I'm not sure if I should open it or return it.

I managed to find it pretty cheap two years ago. The only thing I didn't like about the game was the jumping. The rest was great.

Samurai Legend Musashi sucks balls. Totally not worth buying.

Brave Fencer Musashi on the other hand:

                  - Great Story
                  - Great Music
                  - Great Action

                  My favorite moment:

                  *** SPOILERS ***
When the last boss absorbs Kojiro and turns into a lizard. That was frikkin' sweet and unexpected.
                  *** END SPOILERS ***

Valid point. It felt too...I don't know. Like he was jumping with weights on.

If you're a Musashi fan it is. And it's not bad at all. Although his new voice actor sucks the big ones.

I played the demo and it felt nothing like the first game.

The first game however, yes, was pretty good. I don't love it as much as everyone else though. I remember some of the music being pretty annoying. And the voice acting was either awesome or awful, I can't decide.

I still own the game, I haven't played it since I wasn't able to get past the second/third machine tower.

I remember I got the game for Christmas and I had to buy the players guide the next day because I couldn't figure out how to beat the boss at the top of the tower in the beginning.

I remember trying to play this game, but I could never get into it. I think it was too quirky for my tastes.

It's really good, but pretty easy.

                              Re: Brave Fencer Musashi...

Back in like '99 or 2000 I used to work with this guy who was really geeky and would talk to me about rpgs all the time because he knew I liked them. So I had a pro action replay knock-off and we were talking about Legend of Legaia this one time. So I happened to mention that it had an unlimited cash cheat and he wanted to borrow it. So he let me borrow Brave Fencer Musashi. And I happened to never trade back with him so I kept the game and I guess he's still got my action replay. I think I got the better deal.

The second one was okay but it was kind of a standard action game.
